About The Strokes

The Strokes, hailing from New York City, are an American rock band that emerged in 1998 and quickly became a cornerstone of the early 2000s garage rock and post-punk revival movements. Comprised of lead singer Julian Casablancas, guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr., bassist Nikolai Fraiture, and drummer Fabrizio Moretti, the band's raw, gritty sound revitalized rock music after the Britpop era.
